In early 2019, Shalaka Uchil, excited to join Antler’s Capital Team, found that onboarding investors was still a “ridiculously manual process for a tech company.” She would print out hundreds of pages of fund subscription documents, set up dozens of in-person meetings to explain KYC requirements, and then book follow-up meetings to certify the requested documentation.
At first, this was manageable. But as their investment deals surged from 19 to over 1,000 in just a few years, Antler had to scale their fundraising efforts across different regions and it was clear they needed cutting-edge tech to keep up.
As the firm scaled, they first shifted to sending PDFs via DocuSign PowerForms. But the platform lacked the flexibility to adapt to new funds. Important data couldn’t be reused for future raises. Communication was scattered, spread across emails, links to secure drives, and manual trackers.

Before Anduin, it took 45 minutes or longer to onboard a single investor. With Anduin, it took a third of the time. For a typical fund of 150 LPs, this meant hundreds of hours saved by removing paperwork.
To date, Anduin has helped Antler manage thousands of investor documents uploaded to the platform. With everything in one place, GPs no longer juggle documents and stakeholder emails; they no longer worry about tasks being behind schedule.
Antler’s internal stakeholders quickly bought into Anduin, especially after using Anduin in the final months of their UK fundraise. "That final close was bigger than any other close in our UK Fund,” Uchil recalls. “And I think that just showed the team how powerful the tool was and how much time it saved."
